What is Dokploy?
Dokploy packages the essentials of a hosting platform into software you run yourself. Applications, databases, backups and monitoring are managed in one place, and the same installation can grow from a single VPS to several servers.
Dokploy is a free, self-hostable platform as a service for deploying and managing applications and databases. It supports any language, Docker Compose, one-click templates, automated database backups and multi-server setups with Docker Swarm, with Traefik routing and real-time monitoring built in.
Core capabilities
- Deploy apps in any language and manage MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MariaDB and Redis.
- Back up databases automatically to external storage.
- Scale across servers with Docker Swarm, with Traefik routing and live monitoring.
Applications and databases in one place
Dokploy deploys applications written in Node.js, PHP, Python, Go, Ruby and more, and creates databases with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MariaDB, libsql or Redis. Native Docker Compose support handles more complex setups, and templates install popular open-source tools.

Backups, monitoring and notifications
Database backups run automatically to external storage. Real-time monitoring covers CPU, memory, storage and network use, logs and metrics can be shipped to external observability tools, and notifications report deployment results.

From one server to many
Dokploy is self-hosted on a VPS and can deploy to external servers. Docker Swarm spreads applications across several nodes, Traefik handles routing and load balancing, and a CLI and API cover automation. A managed Dokploy Cloud is also offered.

- 02
Launch open-source tools from templates
Deploy self-hosted tools such as Plausible, Pocketbase or Cal.com from the template catalogue with a single click.
- 03
Watch resources and get alerts
Monitor CPU, memory, storage and network use for every resource and get notified in Slack, Discord, Telegram or email when a deployment succeeds or fails.
